The Grand Forks Cup Not quite as old as the Stanley Cup but almost as old as the Grey Cup the Grand Forks Cup was first presented at the Grand Forks Curling Club in 1911. Traditionally it goes to the winners of the Main Event of the Men's Bonspiel. It is certainly one of the oldest active curling trophies in BC. The
first team to have their names engraved on this historic Cup was a team
skipped by A.B. Hood. The other players on that 1911 team were F.W.
Russell, A.E. Savage and Jas. McArdle. Next season (09-10) when we celebrate
the 100th year of the GFCC this venerable trophy will be 99 years old!
